MRI Results

It feels like this is my lucky week...
considering.

Dr. Bad Mustache's sweet nurse called at 7:30 this morning to let me know that the MRI was perfectly fine.

Deep sigh of relief!

We are still in stage III. No getting rid of me yet, folks! ;-)

I am going to go celebrate by getting back in bed.

Sweet dreams await me!

I read your post on MPIP and found my way to your blog. First of all, congratulations on your clear scans and MRI! What a relief. I have no doubt that between your fighting spirit, positive attitude, great support systems and top-notch doctors you will beat this! I am 32 years old and am also from Virginia and was also recently diagnosed with melanoma. Mine was .86 on my back and you and I actually had our SNB's on the same day. I'm heading back today to have my groin drained because of swelling, so I can't imagine having lymph nodes taken from four areas! I hope you are being waited on hand and foot- you certainly deserve it. I don't really have advice for you in terms of treatment, but did want to let you know that I am thinking about you and keeping
you in my prayers. Catherine Poole at the International Melanoma Foundation has been a wonderful resource for me. I'd post the link but I'm typing from my phone! You can google it though. She was diagnosed with melanoma 21 years ago and has co-authored books about melanoma and is a patient advocate. If you call the hotline on the website she answers and is very current in her knowledge of treatments, trials, etc. Finally, I think it's wonderful that you are bringing awareness to Melanoma through your blog. :) Anne

Hi Anne! Nice to meet you, even though it is because of something like this! My mom found Catherine Poole almost automatically when I was diagnosed. Her website has been so helpful with finding information. Mom called her to ask questions and Mrs. Poole returned her call within an hour. Awesome lady!

Where in VA are you? (If you don't want to post all of your info on here, email me if you would like. CLPrice8707@gmail.com) It sounds like we have VERY similar stories!

I am sorry you are having to deal with swelling. Let me know how you make out today! How were your results from your SNB? Hopefully you have received good news in regards to that. It will help ease the pain from the surgery!! :-)

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I will be thinking and praying for you! Please do let me know how you made out today!

I have been very lucky to be waited on hand and foot...I tried to drive today--quickly realized that it's too soon. Good thing I only had to go a mile from my home! ;)
